The quhilk day, Doctour Johne Strang, principall of the Colledg of Glasgow, personallie present in presence of the kingis majestie and estates of parliament, for himselfe and in name and behalfe of the professoures, regentes and remanent maisteres and memberes of the Universitie and Colledge of Glasgow, protestit for himselfe and in name and behalfe foirsaid that the ratificatione granted be the kingis majestie and estates of parliament of the dait heerof in favoures of the burgh of Glasgow and of the proveist, baillies, counsell and commontie of the said burghe of the signatour, gifte and mortificatione granted to them be the kingis majestie of the teyndis, personage and viccarage, of Glasgow and remanent teyndis, personage and viccarage, of the other kirks perteaneing to the spiritualitie of the beshoprik of Glasgow, and that for the mentinance of ane minister in the Heighe Church of Glasgow to serve the cure in place of the archbeshope of Glasgow, and for repaireing and wpholding of the fabrike of the kirke therof and other causes conteyned in the said signatour, as the samene and ratificatione therof foirsaid more fullie proportes and beeres, should be allwayes without prejudice to the said Universitie and Colledge of Glasgowe, and to the saidis principall, professoures, regentes and remanent maisteres and memberes therof anent ther rightes, liberties, priviledges and immunities granted and perteaneing to the said Universitie and Colledge, and to the principall, professoures, regentes and remanent maisteres and memberes of the samen colledge and anent ther rightes and possessione of all landis, superiorities, teyndis, rentes and others dewties and casualities quhatsomevir perteaneing or onywayes belonging to the said colledge, and that the samene right, priviledges, liberties and immunities of the landis, superiorities, teyndis, rentes and otheres dewties and casualities whatsomevir granted and perteaneing respective to the said colledge, with the rightes, infeftmentes and securities of the same, be nowayes prejudged, hurt nor impaired be the foirsaid signatour, gifte and mortificatione granted in favoures of the burghe of Glasgow, proveist, baillies, counsell and commontie of the samene, off the spirituallitie and teyndis of the said archbeshoprike of Glasgowe, nor be the ratificatione therof abovementionat; and heerupon the said Doctor Johne Strang, personallie present, for himselfe and in name and behalfe foirsaid, askit act and instrumentes.
