In presence of the kingis majestie and estates of parliament compeered Robert Dempster, commissioner for the burghe of Breichine, and in name and behalfe of the proveist, baillies, counsell and commountie of the said burghe and ministeres therat, protestit that the act of erectione of the kirke of Carrestoune granted in this present parliament should be allwayes but prejudice to the said toune of Brechine anent the rightes, priviledges and liberties of the said burghe and parochine therof; and thairupoun askit instruments.
