In presence of the kingis majestie and estates of parliament Johne, erle of Pearth, personallie present in parliament, protestit that the ratificatioune grantit be his majestie and estates of parliament in favoures of the toune of Newburghe in this present parliament should be allwayes but prejudice to the said Erle of Pearthe, off all rightes and infeftmentes granted to him, his authoures and predicessoures; and therwpoun askit instrumentes.
