In presence of the kingis majestie and estates of parliament Alexander, erle of Gallouay, personallie present in parliament, protestit that the ratificatione granted be his majestie and estates of parliament in favoures of the Wniversitie of Glasgow of the gifte and mortificatione givine be his majestie to the Wniversitie and Collledge of Glasgow and to the principall, professors, regents and otheres memberes thairof off the rentes, teyndis and dewties of the beshoprike of Galloway, abbacie of Tungland, pryorie of Whithorne, abbacie of Glenluce and otheres annexit to that beshoprik should be allwayes but prejudice of the takkes and rightes of the landis and teynds granted to the said Erle of Galloway, his authoures and predicessoures and perteyneing to him of any of the landis or teyndis of the said beshoprik, abbacies and pryories respective abovewrittin thairinconteyned; and thairwpoun askit instrumentes.
