Ratificatione in favoures of the burghe of Irving

Our soverane lord and estates of parliament ratifies and approves the four chartores and infeftmentes and otheres respective eftirspecified, viz: ane chartour granted be King Robert the Second to and in favoures of the burgh of Ireving and burgess therof, giveand libertie to them allenerlie to use ther merchandyce and enjoy the samene freelie within the haill boundis, borderes and merches of the haill barronyes of Cunynghame and Larges annexit to the libertie of the said burgh, and dischairging ony otheres to disquyet them thairintill, with power also to them and ther successours to hold and possess the said burghe in ane free burghe, with all priviledges and liberties, alse freelie and honourablie as any other burghe within the kingdome, with the libertie of gild and to make gild brether in maner conteyned in the said chartour, quhilke is of the dait the eight day of Apryle, in the second yeer of his majesties rigne, and confirmed be King Robert the Third wpoun the second day of Januar, the first yeere of his rigne; and ane wther chartour of confirmatione granted be King James the Fourt to the said burghe of Irving, baillies and commontie thairof, ratifieing and approveing ther haill priviledges, liberties and immunities quhatsomevir granted of befoir to the said burghe, conteaneing ane priviledge of repledgiatione granted to the said burghe for repledgeing and reduceing of whatsomevir burgese or burgess induellers within the samene burghe that shall happine to be attatched or arreisted to whatsomevir court or courtes befor whatsomevir judge or judges to the libertie of the said burghe of Irving, and that they within the samene burghe shall underly the law be ane assyse of the neighboures of the samene, quhilke chartor is daited the eight day of August jM vC and ellevine yeeres, with the haill actes of repledgiatione granted in favoures of the said burghe of Irving be vertew of the said chartour; ane wther chartour wnder the great seale granted be umquhile King James the Sext, with advyse and consent of his hienes regent for the tyme, to the said burghe of Irving and ther successoures, off all and whatsomevir landis, houss, tenementes, biggingis, kirkes, chaplanries, yairdis, orchyairdis, annuelrentes and otheres whatsomevir whilkes pertenit to whatsomevir chaiplanries, alterages, prebendaries, chaippelles or colledges within the said libertie of the said burghe of Irveing, and sex bolles of multour or suckine quhilke pertenit to the Carmeleit freires of the said burghe and wer wplifted be them furth of the landis of Ormesheuche, Reddinghill and Hoillhouse, lyand within the bailliarie of Cunynghame, and all other annuellrentes whatsomevir perteaneing of befoir to the saidis freires within the said burghe and libertie therof, daited the eight day of Julii, jM vC threescoir tuelffe yeeres; ane wther chartour of confirmatione wnder the great seale granted be the said umquhile King James the Sext ratifieand and approveand all and whatsomevir infeftmentes and chartoures granted be his majestie and his hienes predicessoures anent the erectione and creatione of the burghe of Irving in ane frie burghe royall, with all liberties, immunities, priviledges and commodities whatsomevir contenit therintill, quhilke chartour conteines ane clause de novodamus in favoures of the said burghe of Ireving and ther successoures off all and haill the burghe of Ireving, with the landis and tenementes lyand within the samene, the landis callit the Burrowelandis, alias Montaber, Gallowemure, Knodgerhill, Newemure, Hiemure, Guildielandis, Weirisholme, Inner and Wtter Boigfauldis, with the haill pasturage or wairdis, midowes, aikeres and commonties within the said burghe, with all and sindrie otheres landis, annuelrentes, mylnes, multoures, fishingis and otheres whatsomevir perteaneing to the said burghe, with all seaportes or herberies or bullwarkis perteaneing therto, with all customes, anchorages, priviledges and liberties belonging to the samene, with power also to the proveist and baillies of the said burghe and there successoures to keepe and hold justice and shereff courtes within the liberties of the said burghe to punish malefactores conforme to the lawes of this realme, and to dispone wpoun ther escheetes to the use of the said burghe, with the priviledge of yeerlie faires and weeklie mercates in maner specified in the said chartour, quhilke is of the dait the first day of Maii, jM vjC and ane yeeres, with all that hes fallowed or may fallow wpoun the saidis four chartoures, to be holdin in maner respective specifiit in the saidis four chartoures and infeftmentes, in all and sindrie the heedis, poyntes, articles, clauss, circumstances and conditiones contenit in the saidis four chartoures, and eftir the formes and tennoures therof in all poyntes. And our soverane lord and estates of parliament decernes and ordeanes that this present ratificatione therof is and shall be alse valied and of alse great force, strenth and effect to the said burghe of Irvine and ther successors as if the saidis four chartoures and infeftmentes wer at lenth insert de verbo in verbum heerintill, quhairanent, and with all other defectes and imperfectiones and objectiones whatsomevir quhilkes may be proponit or objected aganes the saidis four chartores and infeftmentes or any of them, our said soverane lord and estates of this present parliament dispenses for evir.
