Our soverane lord and estates of parliament, considdering that forsameikle as be an act made in the sevinthe parliament of his hienes umquhile darrest father, King James the Sext of worthie memorie, cap. 3, anent the punishment of slaughter of ridfishe, smoltes and fry of all fishe, his majestie and estates of parliament made and constitute certane persones thairinmentionat within the boundis and wateres therintill his hienes justice in that pairt, in maner, form and to the effect therinconteanit, with ample power to them in maner mentionat in the said act, and becaus it is most fit and expedient that these who hes speciall intrest in the salmond fishingis should be intrusted with the cair and chairge of the said commissioune, and that James, erle of Montrois, lord Grahame and Muldoke etc. and Patrike Maule of Panmure, one of his sacred majesties bedchallmer, hes speciall intress in the fishingis of the wateres of Northe and Southeske and hes bene in possessioune and use to gett commissione of justiciarii for puting the saidis actes to executione in sua far as consernes the fishingis of the saides wateres of North and Southeske thir diverse yeeres bygone, therfore our soverane lord and estates of parliament makes, constitutes and ordeanes the saidis James, erle of Montrois and Patrike Maule of Panmure, there aires and successoures in thair fishingis of the saidis wateres of North and Southeske his hienes justices in that pairt for the saidis wateres of North and Southeske, with power to them, ther foirsaidis and deputes, for whom they shall be ansuerable, to hold justice courtes and creat all memberes thairof necessar to the effect conteanit in the said former act, and with all liberties and priviledges therine mentionat and wpoun the provisiones thairinconteanit, whilkis are heir holdine as expresse.
