Our soverane lord, with consent of the estates of this present parliament, be thir presentes, ratifies and approves the chartour made and granted be his majesties umquhile darrest father of eternall memorie wnder his hienes great seale to umquhile George, erle of Kinnoull, etc., therin designit Sir George Hay of Kinfauines, knicht, heighe chancellour of this realme of Scotland, his aires maill and assigneyes of the barrony of Kinfawines, comprehending all and haill the landis and lordshipe of Kinfawines and Pitfindie, the heritable office of the keeping of the water of Tay one both the syddis therof, and of all otheres wateres, riveres and burnes, running and falling in the said water of Tay, with the priviledges and liberties therof particularlie mentionat in the said chartour†, quhilke chartour is of the dait at Windsore, the third day of September, the yeere of God jM vjC tuentie tua yeeres, to be holdine of his majestie and his successoures in free blenshe in maner therinexprest, togidder with the precept of seasing falloweing therwpoun and instrument of seasing falloweing wpoun the samene, in all and sindrie poyntes, articles and clauss thairinconteaned and eftir the formes and tennoures thairof; and declaires this present generall ratificatione of the samene chartour, precept and instrument of seasing to be alse good and sufficient in all respectes as if the samene hade beene at lenth insert heerintill, dispensand with the not inserting thairof in thir presentes be the tennour heerof for evir, and findis, declaires, statutes and ordeanes that the foirsaidis chartour, precept and seasing and instrumentes of seasing falloweing thairwpoun are and shall be ane sufficient and valid right, tytle and securitie to the aires and successours of the said George, erle of Kinnoule for bruiking and joysing of the landis, office and otheres specified in the said chartour to be holdine of his majestie and his successoures in maner thairinexprest in all tymecomeing.
