Our soverane lord and estates of parliament ratifies and approves the chartour and infeftment granted be his majestie, with advyse and consent of his hienes thesaurers, comptrolleres and thesaureres of his hienes new augmentationes, principall and deputie, and remanent lordis and otheres of his hienes exchekker, his commissioneres, to Robert Pringle, wretter to his majesties signet in lyferent, and to Maister Johne Pringle, his eldest sone in fie, his aires maill and assigneyes thairinconteyned heritablie, of all and haill the landis of Eister Tempillhalles, and landis of Wester Tempillhall and Costhouss† with houss, biggingis, yairdis, outsettis, toftes, croftes, mures, moss, partibus pendiculis, privilegyis et pertinents therof, as the samene wes occupyed and possest be umquhill Maister Samuell and Frances† Cockburnes of Tempill, or be either of them and ther tennentes; and of all and haill the landis of Viccarisfauldis and Parisflate, with the pertinentes, sometymes perteaneing to the viccares of Pencaitland laufullie disponed be umquhill Sir Robert Richardsone of Pencaitland, knycht barronet, to Sir George Cockburne of Orbestoune, knycht; with all and sindrie the teyndis, personage and viccarage, of all and haill the saidis landis of Hunt Law, Eister and Wester Tempillhalls, Tofthouss, Parisflat and Viccaris Fauldis, with ther pertinentis; and of all and sindrie the teyndis, personage and viccarage, of all and haill the landis of Huntlaw, Dey Boigland† and Southwood, alias Woodheid, with the pertinentes, whilkis are holdine of other superiores, all lyand within the parochine of Pencaitland, constabularie of Haddingtoune and shereffdome of Edinburghe, with full power, libertie and priviledge to the saidis Robert and Maister Johne Pringillis and ther foirsaidis and ther haill tennentes of the saidis landis and otheres aboverepeited to have and win lymestones in the lyme quarrells, pairtes and boundis of the toune and landis of Paistoun, with the pertinentes, wher the tennentes of the saidis landis of Paistoune or tennentes of the landis of Ormestoun getts and wines, or shall gett and win, there lymestanes, or wher the samene may be most commodiouslie had and won for making of lyme to bigge and repaire the houss and dykes and gooding of the saidis landis abovewrittin, with gaites, wayes and passages, frie ishe and entrie thairto, for getting, wining and transporting of the saidis lymstones to the uses foirsaidis perpetuallie in all tymecomeing, bot stopt, trouble or interruptione, wpoun the resignatione of the said Sir George Cockburne of Ormestoun, knicht, in maner mentionat in the said chartor, off the dait the therteene day of Februar 1636 yeeres, wnder his hienes great seale, with procuratorie and instrument of resignatione wherwpoun the samene proceedit and precept of seasing and seasing falloweing therwpoun, and all former infeftments, chairters, seasingis and otheres rightes and securities made and granted be his hienes or any of his predecessoures or authores of the saides landes, teyndis and otheres abovewrittin or any of them to the said Sir George Cockburne or any of his predecessours or authoures of whatsomevir daites, tennores or contentes the same be of, or beeres, in all and sindrie the heidis, clauss, poyntes, articles and conditiones therinconteanit, and efter the formes and tenours therof in all poyntes. And our said soverane lord willes and grantes and, with advyse of the saidis estates of parliament, decerns and ordeanes that this present ratificatione of the said chartour and otheres rightes speciallie and generallie abovewrittin is and shall be als effectuall and sufficient and of alse great force, strenth and effect to Robert Pringle, his sone and his foirsaidis for bruiking and joysing of the saidis landis, teyndis and others abovewrittin priviledges, liberties and pertinentes therof heritablie in all tymecomeing, as if the said chartour and otheres rightes speciallie and generallie abovewrittin wer all at lenth de verbo in verbum ingrost, insert and conteened heerintill, quhairanent, and with all otheres defectes and imperfectiones and objectiones whilke may be proponit or alledged againes the saidis rightes or any of them and validities of the samene and this present ratificatione therof, our said soverane lord and estates of parliament hes dispenssit and be thir presentes dispenses for evir, and findis, declaires and decernes the samene to be good and valied rychts wherby the saidis Robert, his sone and his foirsaidis may bruike the saidis landis, teyndis and otheres abovewrittin liberties, priviledges and pertinentes as ther owne proper heritadge in all tymecomeing for evir, efter the forme and tennour of the samene chartour, infeftmentes and otheres rightes foirsaidis in all poyntes and conforme therto.
