Our soverane lord and estates of parliament ratifies and approves the chartour made, givine and granted be our soverane lord the kingis majestie, with advyse and consent of his hienes thesaureres, comptrolleres, collectoures principall and deputie therinnominat for the tyme, and remanent lordis of his hienes excheker of Scotland, his hienes commissioneres, to his hienes lovitts Sir Alexander Leslie, now of Balgony, knycht, than generall major in the Neither Saxonie, and Dame Agnes Rentoune, his spous, the longest liver of them tuo, in lyferent for all the dayes of ther lyftymes, and to Collonell Alexander Leslie, now feare of Ballgony, ther eldest lauchfull sone, in fie, his aires and assigneyes thairinconteente heritablie, of all and haill the landis of Eist Nisbit, mylne, mylnelands, astricted multores and sequelles thairof, comprehending the particulare tounes, landis and wtheres thairrinmentionat, with the toure, fortalice, maner place, houss, biggingis, yairdis, orchyairdis, mylnes, multorus, toftes, croftes, outsettes, insettes, parts, pendicles and pertinentes thairof, lyand within the shereffdome of Berwicke, wpoun the resignatione of Johne, lord Cranstoun, with consent of Dame Helene Lindesay, lady Cranstoun, his spous, and certane otheres persones therinmentionat; and sicklyke made and granted to the said Sir Alexander Leslie in lyferent for all the dayes of his lyftyme, and to the said Collonell Alexander Leslie, his sone, in fie, his aires and assigneyes thairinconteent heritablie, off all and haill the landis and barrony of Ballgony, comprehending the particulare tounes, landis, manes, maner place, coilles, coillheuches and wtheres mentionat in the said chartour, lyand within the barrony of Ballgony and shereffdome of Fyfe; and of all and haill the landis of Treatounemyre, with the pairtes, pendicles and pertinentes therof, lyand within the barrony of [...] and shereffdome of Fyfe foirsaid, with all and sindrie the houss, biggingis, orchyairdis, yairdis, dowcates, coills, coillheuchs, outsettes, insettes, tennentes, tennendries, service of free tennentes, annexes, connexes, dependences, woodes, parkes, midowes, cunyngaires, pairtes, pendicles, commonties and all thair pertinentes whatsomever of the saidis landis, barrony and wtheres abovewrittin lyand as said is; and of all and haill the landis of Craigincatt, with the houss, biggingis, yairds, toftes, croftes, outsettes, insettes, mylnes, mylnelands, multours, dependences, tennentes, tennendries, service of free tennents, pairtes, pendicles, pasturages, priviledges, commountie and all ther pertinentes whatsomevir, lyand within the barrony of Glasmonth and shereffdome of Fyfe; and of all and haill the landis of Eisterbaglillie, with the mylne therof, callit Inchdattie Mylne, with the mylnelandis, multoures, suckine and sequelles therof, with all and sindrie the houss, biggingis, yairdis, toftes, croftes, outsettes, insettes, midowes, parkes, parts, pendicles and pertinentes therof, whatsomevir lyand within the parochine of [...] and the said shereffdome of Fyffe, upoun the resignatione of Sir Johne Booswall of Ballmuto, knycht, David Boiswell, feir therof, his eldest sone, Sir George Boiswall of Litle Ballgony, knycht, James Boiswall, somtyme of Ballgony, David Boiswell of Lochogillies†, Johne Lundie, sone and air of umquhill Robert Lundie of Balgony, and of certane otheres persones, appryseres thairof and haveing righte therto in maner mentionat in the said chartour; and the new gifte and dispositione thairinconteaned, and the unioune and creatioune of the saidis haill landis, barronyes, mylnes, mylnelandis, coilles, coillheughes, fishingis and otheres speciallie and generallie abovewrittin in ane haill and free barrony, callit the barrony of Ballgony, in tymecomeing to be holdine of our soverane lord and his hienes successoures in fee heritadge and free barrony for evir, as the said chartour wnder the great seale of the dait the sext day of Julii, the yeere of God jM vjC threttie fyve yeeres, at mair lenth beeres, with the procuratories and instrumentes of resignatione wheron the saidis chartour proceedit, and precept of seasing and instrument of seasing falloweing thairwpoun of whatsomevir daites, tennores or contentes the samene be of, in all and sindrie the heedis, poyntes, clauss, articles, circumstances and conditiones therinconteyned, and efter the formes and tennoures thairof in all poyntes. And our said soverane lord and estates of parliament willes and grantes and, for his hienes and his successoures, decernes and ordeanes that this present ratificatione of the said chartour, procuratories and instrumentes of resignatione wheron the samyne proceedit, precept and instrument of seasing falloweing thairwpoun is and shall be alse valied and sufficient and of als great force, strength, force and effect to the saidis Sir Alexander Leslie, his spous and sone and his foirsaidis for bruiking and joysing of the saidis tounes, landis, barronyes and otheres abowrittin thairinconteint as if the samene were all at lenth per expressum de verbo in verbum ingrossit and conteanit in this present ratification, notwithstanding the samene be not sua done, quhairanent, and with all otheres defectes and imperfectiones that may be proponit or alledged againes the samene and validity therof, or this present ratificatione of the samene, our said soverane lord and estates of parliament hes dispensit and be thir presents dispenses for evir.
