Act anente the electione of the Lord Loudoune to be chancelloure

The quhilk day the kingis majestie, with the advyce and approbatione of the estates of parliament, did nominat and elect Johne, lord Loudoun to exerce and dischairge the place and office of heighe chancellour of this his heighnes ancient native kingdome, and gave and disponit to him dureing all the dayes of his lyftyme the said office with all honoures, dignities, proffites, liberties and priviledges which have bene possest and brookit by any proceeding chancelloures, and which may be now bruiked by the lawes of this kingdome. Lykeas his majestie, with advyse and approbatione foirsaid, makes and constitutes the said Johne, lord Loudoun, dureing all the dayes of his lyftyme, heighe chancellor of this his said kingdome, to be bruiked and enjoyed by him with all dignities, honoures, commodities, liberties and priviledges which have bene possest and bruiked by any preceeding chancelloures and which may be now brooked by the lawes of this kingdome; and ordeanes a gifte and patent to be past wnder his heignes great sealle to the said Johne, lord Loudoune therwpoun.
