Declaratione be Harie, lord Ker, in face of parliament as fallouethe

I, Harie, lord Ker, have allreddy acknowledged my offence to his majestie and askit his pardone, which I doe now lykewayes to this honorabill house of parliament, and for the scandallous wordis conserneing the Marques of Hammiltoune which was said be me, I confese them to be rashe and groundles, and that I am sorie for the same. Sic subscribit: H. Kere.

Qhilke declaratioun the Lord Ker, in presence of the parliament, delyverit as subject be him to his majestie.

Act and declaratione be the king and parliament in favoures of the Marques of Hammiltoune

The quhilk day this act was mad be the king and estates quherof the tennour falloueth: Quhairas ther hes been certane sclandalous wordis spokine of the Marqueis of Hammiltoune, tending to the prejudice of his honour and fidelitie to his majestie and his cuntrie, which are now acknoweledged be Harie, lord Ker, speeker therof, in presence of his majestie and estates of parliament, to have beene rashe and groundles, for the speeking wherof he is hartilie sorie. And since his majestie and estates of parliament knowes them to be so, therfor his majestie and estates foirsaidis declaires the said Marquois of Hammiltoune to be free therof and esteames him to be ane loyall subject to his majestie and faithfull patriot to his cuntrie, and the saidis estates remittes the farther censure to the kingis majestie. Subscryved be praeses of the parliament at directione of his majestie and estates therof.

Procedure: proposal concerning the election of Lord Loudoun to be chancellor
Conditionall provision proponit to the electione of the Lord Loudoun to be chancellour

The quhilk day the kingis majestie reproducit the overtour givine in be Sir Thomas Hope anent the conditiones and provisione for the Lord Loudoun his electione to be chancellour, quhairof the tennor falloueth: To voyce to the electione of the Lord Loudoun, with this declaratione: that the alloweing or disalloweing of the Lord Loudoun to be chancellor, being maid by the chancellour viva voce, shall nowayes be prejudiciall to the cleiring of the tuo difficulties proponit anente the explanatione of the acte and voyceing be way of billetes, bot that the same may the voyced, hard and debaited in the same estate they now are and as if the parliament had not voyced to the electione of the Lord Loudoun, and that his majestie and estates of parliament for these questiones may be in statu quo nunc. Conforme to the quhilke paper and wpoun the conditione therincontenit, the kingis majestie and estates proceedit to the electione and approbatioun of the said Lord Loudoun to be chancellour.

Act anente the electione of the Lord Loudoune to be chancelloure

The quhilk day the kingis majestie, with the advyce and approbatione of the estates of parliament, did nominat and elect Johne, lord Loudoun to exerce and dischairge the place and office of heighe chancellour of this his heighnes ancient native kingdome, and gave and disponit to him dureing all the dayes of his lyftyme the said office with all honoures, dignities, proffites, liberties and priviledges which have bene possest and brookit by any proceeding chancelloures, and which may be now bruiked by the lawes of this kingdome. Lykeas his majestie, with advyse and approbatione foirsaid, makes and constitutes the said Johne, lord Loudoun, dureing all the dayes of his lyftyme, heighe chancellor of this his said kingdome, to be bruiked and enjoyed by him with all dignities, honoures, commodities, liberties and priviledges which have bene possest and bruiked by any preceeding chancelloures and which may be now brooked by the lawes of this kingdome; and ordeanes a gifte and patent to be past wnder his heignes great sealle to the said Johne, lord Loudoune therwpoun.

Dispensatione to the proveist and baillies of Edinburgh for serveing of [...] Aitkine, air to his predicessouris

The quhilk day the kingis majestie and estates of parliament, haveing red and considerit the supplicatione givine in to them be [...] Aitkine for serveing of him air to his predicessores, his majestie and estates foirsaidis grants dispensatione to the proveist and baillies of Edinburgh for serveing of the said Aitkine air to his saidis predicessoures, conforme to the said supplicatione.
