Anente the Lord Maitland

The quhilk day motione being made of the lettires comed from my Lord Maitland to the parliament, conforme to the instructiones committed to him anent the disbanding of the Englishe forces, his majestie and estates of parliament commandis the president of parliament to wret to the Lord Maitland directing him to stay whill the eighteene of this instant September be past.

Procedure: dispensation to the sheriff of Edinburgh

The quhilke day the supplicatione givine in to his majestie and estates of parliament be James [...], craveing dispensatione to the shereffe of Edinburghe and his deputes for siting to serve him air to his father, being red in audience of the king and parliament, they granted the desyre therof.
