Act and warrand for publishing and prenting the actes in Junii 1640

Oure soverane lord and estates of parliament grantes warrand and command to the clerkis of parliament to publishe the actes of the sessione of this parliament ellevint June 1640, in the name of our soverane lord, with consent of the estates of parliament, conforme to the modall set doune in the first article of the treattie; and sicklyke that the saidis clerkis, eftir publishing of the actes forsaidis, cause prent the samene, quhairwnto this shall be ane sufficient warrand, superscryveit by the kingis majestie, and subscryved be the president of the parliament this last of August 1641.

Act dischairging James Bannatine his patente of the pearlinge

Oure soverane lord and estates of parliament, haveing red and considerit the reassones, griveances and prejudices givine and compleaned wpon in this present parliament aganes the gifte and patent granted to James Bannatyne in Leith anent the pearling, and finding the samene gifte and patent hurtfull and prejudiciall to the leiges, have therfore rescindit, retreatit, cassit, annullit and dischairged, and by the tennour heirof rescindis, retreites, casses, annullis and dischairges simpliciter the foirsaid gifte and patent granted to the said James Bannatyne anent pearling, and declaires the samene gifte and patent to be extinct, null and ineffectuall in all tymecomeing. And also, our said soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the estates of parliament, prohibites and dischairges all importatione and imbringing of forraigne pearling within this kingdome in any tymecomeing wnder the paine of confiscatione therof to his majesties wse. And sickelyke, our said soverane lord, with advyse foirsaid, renewes the act made in anno 1621 yeires intituled 'Anent banquating and apparrell', in the second head and article therof, viz: that no persone of whatsoevir degree shall have pearling or ribboning upoun ther ruffes, bandis, shirtes, napkines and sockes, except the persones priviledged in that act, and the pearling and ribbening to be so worne by them (if any be) to be of these mad within the kingdome of Scotland, wnder the paine of ane hundreth pundis toties quoties, as the said act in the said article thairof beires. And ordeanes the samene act in that head and article foirsaid to have full strenth, force and executione, and to stand as a law conforme to the tennor therof.

Act anent the Laird of Glengarrie, younger

The quhilk day Sir Johne McKeinyie of Tarbet, personally present in face of parliament, acted himselfe as cationer for the young Laird of Glengarrie, that Glengarrie shall appeare before the parliament when he shall be requyred, and shall not goe out of Edinburgh or ane myle therabout, wntill the conclusione of this parliament be ryding or prorogatione wnder the paine of ten thousand merkis and the Laird of Glengarrie, younger, acted himselfe for releife of his said cautioner.
