Order of public business

Duodecimo Augusti 1641

At the meitting of the nobilitie, who elected the Erle of Argyle preses, it is agreed be most voyces among the nobilitie that the article or overture as it is exprest that publik bussines be first proponed and concludit befoir any particular be moved and that the act formerly maid be renewed; that nothing concerning any private estate be moved in parliament till all publik bussines and all procesis be past and concludit. And for intimatting heirof to the baronis and borrowis, nominattis the Lieutenant Generall, the Erles of Argyle and Cassillis.
