[Ratification approved; right of voting of commissioners of shires debated; accounts of Thomas Muir to be shown to William Dick]

Ratificatioune to Jhone Smith.

Act ordaining everie commissioner from shyris to haif ane severall voyte to be markit per se, being red in articles, the commissioneris general requyred that befoir answer should be gevin thairto the baronis wald fulfill the promeisis maid to the kingis majestie and mentioned in the act of parliament 1587, c. 112, and protested that the said act, quhilk is contraire to the act of perpetuall customs inviolablie observed and so prejudiciall to his majestie, and never acclamed befoir by the baronis, may not be agitate untill the saidis promeises, quhilks his grace shall instruct be first maid good. Thairefter the act gevin up to the Laird of Keir.

Appointis Thomas Mure his comptis to be shewin to William Dik, or the auditours appointed for him, whill Mooneday nixt.

[Act regarding apothecaries remitted to Doctor Arnott; ratification approved; acts regarding the privileges of merchants and craftsmen continued; Earl of Mar cited to answer supplication]

Act anent apothecairs red in articles, who appointis the act to be shewin to Doctour Arnot that he may call to him such physicianes as he thinkis expedient, that they may report againe to the comissioneris general and lords of articles their opiniounes anent this act and the expediencie thairof and readiest way of effectuating, and to mak the report upon Mooneday morning nixt.

Ratificatioune to the weivers of Edinburgh red, voited and past in articles, the saids weivers doing their work als weill cheape and tymouslie as others at the sight of the magistratis and counsale of the towne, reservand the priviledgis to be graunted to manufactories by the commissione graunted in this parliament for establishing manufactories. And anent the discharge of the exportatione of yairne, remittis the same also to the said commissione for manufactories as they qualifie befoir the same the expediencie and necessitie of the said restraint.

Anent the actis mutuallie presented by the merchantis and craftismen, continewis the same till Mooneday and Richard Maxwell promeist to produce certaine seallis of causes for cleiring this bussines.

Anent the supplicatione presented for the shirrefdome of Dumbartane, desyring sevin parochines to be disunited from Stirlingshyre and united to Dumbartane, appointis the Laird of Keir to advertish the Erle of Mar to be present to answer thairto upon Mooneday nixt.
