The supplicatioune from the vassallis of Dalkeith craving that vassallis halding of the king some small fewis or portione of lands may haif ease in passing thair infeftmentis through the seallis and some cours takin thairanent, the lordis commissioneris general and articles thinkis expedient that whair the lands exceidis not the yeirlie rent of twa hundreth merks [...], the signatours thairof passing the exchekquher shall containe ane precept for taking seasing without passing any seallis; and the advocat appointed to draw up the act, and the penaltie to be ane yeirs rent of the land, being tryed within ane yeir, the† thrid part to the king, and† another thrid to the informer and ane thrid to the seallis.
Anent the supplicatioune presented by the Lady Luss craving intertanement from the Laird of Balvie for hir children, the parties and thair procurators being hard in presence of the commissioneris grace and articles, the lords of articles finds thameselfis judges competent to prepaire the desyre of this supplicatione as ane article to be presented to the parliament. The supplicatione and some defenses producit in writt gevin up to Maistir Jhone Gilmor that he may produce all his defenses in writt, quhilk appointis him to give to Maistir James Baird this efternoone that he may give his answer in writt the morne.
