Ratificatioune of the actis of assemblie, viz: the act maid upon the 17 August last, intituled, 'Anent the sex causes of oure bygane evillis' and the act prefixed to the covenant, red, voited and past in articles under the protestatioune maid by the Erle of Argyle, for himselfe and suche noblemen as adheir to him, and by the baronis and borrowis, that the same is voited without prejudice of the protestatiounes formerlie maid by thame and that all quhilk shall pass in articles be under the same protestatiounes until they receave answer.†

The supplicatioune presented by the commissioners of the assemblie for petitioning his majestie to liberate the Scottis subjectis traffiquing in Ingland or Irland from oathis prejudiciall to the covenant, the lord commissioneris general and lordis of the articles appointed Jhone Smith, James Fletcher and Maistir Robert Barclay (not secluding any others) to speik with the supplicantis that they may condiscend upon the particular persones who haif bein urged with oathis prejudiciall to the covenant, that thairefter, the same being represented againe by them to the articles, they may tak the desyre of the supplicatioune into thair farder consideratioune.†
The supplicatioune presented by the commissioners of the assemblie anent the profanatioune of the Sabbath day and otheris thairin contained, that pairt thairof anent the discharge of going of mylnes and salt pannis upon the Sabbath, red, voited and past in articles. And for the salmond fishingis, befoir the articles give answer thairto, the Erle of Dumfermelin, Sir Jhone McKeinzie and others haifing interest, ar to be advertished and hard thairupon. And for the change of the mercate dayis, appointis the commissioners of the borrowis who ar upon the articles to advyse thairupon with the remanent commissioners of borrowis, and to report unto the haill articles. And for the hyring of sheirers upon the Sabbath day, recommendis also to the saids borrowis who ar upon the articles to speik with the remanent borrowis and with the Laird of Wauchtoune and other understanding gentlemen anent the most convenient way how the said grievance may be best remediet with least prejudice of the countrie. And for the sturdie beggers, appointis the kingis advocat to peruse the actis of parliament formerlie maid against thame and to report the same in presence of his general and articles the morne.†
