Oure soverane lord, for himselff and as father, lawfull tutor, guydar and administrator to his hienes darrest sone, Charles, prince of Scotland and Walles, stewart of Scotland, duike of Rothesay, Albanie, Cornwall and Yorke, earle of Carrick and Cwnynghame, lord of the Yles, baroune of the baronie of Ranfrew and sua superior of the lands and uthers wnderwrittine, and thrie estates of this present parliament, ordaines ane ratificatioun to be maid thairin to and in favours of his hienes lovittes Johne Hamiltoun of Boghall and Heleine Home, his spous, thair airs and assignais wnderwrittine, ratifiand and approveand and, for his hienes and his said darrest sone, the prince, and thair successors, perpetuallie confirmand the chartor maid, givin and grantit be our said soverane lord, for himselff and as father, lawfull tutor, guydar and administrator of his hienes said darrest sone, the prince, superior of the lands and uthers wnderwrittine perteining to the said principalitie, with advyse and consent of his hienes principall thesaurer and remanent lords of his hienes exchecker of Scotland, his hienes commissioners, to the saidis Johne Hamiltoun and Heleine Home, his spous, the langest leivar of thame tua in conjunctfie, thair airs and assignais thairin contenit heretablie, of all and haill the townes and lands of Lochtulloch and Deanes, and of all and haill the lands of Boghall, with the maner place and outsett thairof callit Craigschynnie, and mylne of Lochtulloch, mylnelands and multors thairof, with all and sundrie the maner places, houses, biggings, orcheards, yeards, parkes, wodes, fischings, medowes, mures, moses, toftes, croftes, outsetts, insetts, annexis, connexis, tennants, tennandries, service of frie tennents, pairts, pendicles, priveledges and pertinents quhatsumever perteining and belonging to the saidis townes and lands of Lochtulloch, Deanes and Boghall, mylne of Lochtulloch, mylnelands thairof or any pairt of the samyne, lyand within the parochine and shirefdome of Bathgait and of auld be annexatione within the shirefdome of Ranfrew; and maid and grantit to the said Johne Hamiltoun, his airs and assignais thairin contenit heretablie, of all and haill the towne and lands of Starlaw, with the houses, biggings, yeards, medowes, mures, moses, toftes, croftes, outsetts, tennants, tennandries, service of frie tennents, pairts, pendicles and pertinents thairof quhatsumever, lyand within the parochine and shirefdome forsaid, upon the resignatione thairof maid be umquhile Johne Lawsone of Boghall, quha was heretor thairof of befor, with the confirmatione and new gift contenit in the said chartor and unioun and erectioun of the saidis haill townes, lands, mylne and uthers abonewrittine, with the pertinents, in ane haill and frie baronie, to be callit in all tyme coming the baronie of Boghall, ordaining the said maner place of Boghall to be the principall messuage of the said baronie quhair ane sasing to be takine in all tyme coming sall stand and be ane sufficient sasing for all and haill the saidis lands, baronie and uthers abonewrittin in maner specifiet in the said chartor, to be haldine of his hienes said darrest sone, the prince, and his successors princes and stewarts of Scotland, in fie heretage and frie baronie for ever, as the said chartor wnder his majesties great seale, of the dait the sevinteine day of December, the yeir of God jM vjC threttie ane yeirs, at mair lenth beirs, with the precept of sasing following thairupon wnder the testimonie of his hienes great seale of the samyne dait, with the instrument of sasing following thairupon, of the dait the [...] day of [...], the yeir of God jM vjC threttie [...] yeirs, in all and sundrie the heades, pointes, pases, clauses, articles, circumstances and conditiones thairin contenit, and efter the formes and tennors thairof in all pointes. And our said soverane lord, for himselff and as father, lawfull tutor, guydar and administrator to his hienes said darrest sone, the prince, and estates of parliament, wills and grants and, for his hienes and his successors, decernes and ordaines that this present generall ratificatioun of the said chartor, precept and sasing is and sall be als effectuall and sufficient and of als great force, strenth and effect to the saidis Johne Hamiltoun, his spous and thair forsaidis for bruiking of the saidis lands, baronie and uthers abonewrittine, and haill priveledges and liberties thairin contenit in all tyme coming as if the samyne were all at lenth ingrossit and insert in the said ratificatioun; quhairanent, and with all uther defects and imperfectiones quhilkes may be proponit or alledgit againes the said infeftment and this present ratificatioun thairof and validities of the samyne, oure said soverane lord, for himselff and as father, tutor, guydar and administrator of his hienes said darrest sone, the prince, and estates of parliament, for thair hienes and thair successors, hes dispensit, and be thir presents dispenses for ever, and ordaines this present ratificatione to be extendit in the most ample forme with all clauses necessar and requisite.
