Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament, considering the many good and thankfull services done be Johne Campbell, fear of Calder, and Sir Johne Campbell, his father, and uthers his predicessors to the king's majestie and his most royall predicessors, and for incouraging of the said Johne Campbell and his successors to continew in thair loyaltie to the king's majestie and his successors, thairfor to have ratifiet and approvine and, be thir presents, ratifies and approves the chartor and infeftment wnder his majesties great seale, of the dait at Edinburgh, the saxt day of Februar, jM vjC tuentie thrie yeirs, maid and grantit to the said Johne Campbell, fear of Calder, be his majesties umquhile father of all and haill the lands and baronie of Calder and uthers thairinmentionat, with all priveledges, offices and jurisdictioun thairin mentionat, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, of the dait the fyfteine day of Marche, jM vjC tuentie thrie yeirs; also the procuratorie of resignatioun quhairupon the samyne proceidit, quhilk is of the dait the nynt day of August, jM vjC tuentie tua yeirs, with the instrument of resignatioun following thairupon of the dait the saxt day of Februar, jM vjC tuentie thrie yeirs; togider also with all his authors and predicessors infeftments of all the forsaidis lands and baronies abonespecifiet. As also the chartor and infeftment of the baronie of Ila, grantit to the said Johne Campbell upon the resignatioun of Sir Johne Campbell of Calder, his father, of the dait the fourt day of September, jM vjC tuenty sevine yeirs, with the haill priveledges, liberties and offices thairin contenit, togider with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, of the dait the tent of November, jM vjC tuentie sevine yeirs; as also the procuratorie and instrument of resignatioun quhairupon the samyne proceidit, quhilk ar of the daittes the 29 July 1626 and first of September respective. As also the originall infeftment grantit to the said Sir Johne, his father, of all and haill the forsaidis lands and baronie of Ila and pertinents, with the haill priveledges, office, liberties and uthers thairin specifiet. Lykas also his majestie, with consent forsaid, ratifies the infeftment grantit be umquhile James, lord Torphichen, to umquhile Maistir Thomas Rollock of all and haill the temple lands of Ardseir and uthers specifiet in the said infeftment, of the dait the 26 of December 1611, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, of the dait the 26 of Januar 1612 yeirs. As also the chartor grantit be umquhile Maister Thomas Rollock to the said Johne Campbell, of the dait the 13 of August 1626, yeirs of all and haill the forsaidis temple lands, with precept and instrument of sasing conforme thairto, with his majesties umquhile father of ever blissed memorie, his confirmatione thairof, of the dait the 15 of Februar 1627 yeirs. As also his majestie, with consent forsaid, ratifies and approves the infeftment, chartor and precept, with the sasing following thairupon grantit be the said Sir Johne Campbell to the said Johne, his eldest sone and appeirand air, to be haldine of himselff, of the dait the 9 of August 1622 yeirs, of all and haill the baronie of Kilmachronage, with all priveledges, jurisdictiones and offices thairin mentionat, togider with the infeftment grantit to the said Sir Johne, his father, be his majesties umquhile father of happie memorie of the forsaid baronie of Kilmachronage and haill pertinents thairof, in the haill heads, pointes, articles thairof, priveledges, offices, jurisdictiones, quhilk is of the dait the first of Apryll 1606 yeirs, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon; togider also with all procuratories of resignatioune grantit be the said Sir Johne in favours and for infefting of the said Johne Campbell, his eldest sone and appeirand air in all the forsaidis lands and baronie of Kilmachronage; togider also with all his authors and predicessors richts, infeftments and secuirities of the forsaid baronie of Kilmachronage and haill pertinents of the same, in all and sundrie heads, pointes, articles, clauses, priveledges, offices and jurisdictiones contenit in any of the haill forsaidis infeftments, richts and secuirities. And his majestie, with advyse of the saidis estates, statuites, decernes and ordaines that the said Johne Campbell, fear of Calder, his chartors, precepts and instruments of sasing and confirmatione thairof, togider with this act of ratificatioun, to be ane valeid and sufficient securitie to him, his airs and assignais thairinspecifiet of the haill lands, baronies and uthers thairin contenit, quhairby they may bruik the samyne as thair propper heritage in all tyme coming, without any questioune to be moved againes him thairanent, notwithstanding of any actes, lawes or constitutiones heirtofoir maid, quhilk may anywayes be derogatorie heirto, or of any uther impediment quhatsumever, or of any defect or infirmitie quhilk may be alledgit againes the samyne if any be; quhairwith, his majestie, with expres advyse forsaid, dispensis and ordaines this present act to serve for ane sufficient supplement of all sick defects and infirmities if any be.

Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament ratifies and approves the chartor maid and grantit be his hienes umquhile darrest father to Sir Johne Spottiswode of Dairsie, knicht, his airs male and assignais quhatsumever heretablie of the kirklands of Dairsie and the paroche kirk thairof, togider with the personage and viccarage teinds of the samyne manse and gleib thairof, fruites, rents and emoluments quhatsumever perteining to the said kirk, lyand withine the regalitie of Sanct Androis and shirefdome of Fyffe, togider with the paroche kirk and parochine of Dalgarno, personage and viccarage thairof, with manse, gleib and kirklands of the samyne and uthers fruites, rents and emoluments belonging thairwnto, lyand withine the shirefdome of Drumfreis, be the quhilk chartor his hienes said umquhile darrest father dissolved and dismemberit the saidis tua paroche kirks of Dairsie and Dalgarno, with thair forsaidis, fra the lordschipes of Sanct Androis and Halyrudhous respective, to the quhilk they wer annexit of befor as ane pairt of the patrimonie and spiritualitie thairof, and erected the saidis tua paroche kirkes in tua severall and distinct benefices be thameselffes. And lykwayes ratifies and approves the new gift and dispositioune thairin contenit maid to the said Sir Johne Spottiswode and his forsaidis of the saidis kirklands of Dairsie and the saidis paroche kirkes of Dairsie and Dalgarno, with advocatioun, donatioun and richt of patronage of the saidis tua kirks unitit and annexit to the saidis kirklands of Dairsie to be haldine of oure said soverane lord and his hienes successors in frie blensche ferme, as at mair lenth is specifiet in the said chartor wnder the great seale, of the dait at Quhytehall, the fyft day of Junii, jM vjC tuentie ane yeirs, with the precept of sasing and instrument of sasing following thairupon, procuratories and instruments of resignatioun and dimissioun quhairupon the said chartor proceidit in all and sundrie the heads, pointes, pases, clauses, articles circumstances and conditiones thairin contenit. And oure said soverane lord and estates of parliament allowes and grants and, for his hienes and his successors, decernes and ordaines that this present ratificatioun of the saidis infeftments, precept and sasing following thairupon, procuratories and instruments of resignatioun and dimissioun quhairupon the samyne proceidit, is and sall be of als great force, strenth and effect to the said Sir Johne Spottiswode and his forsaidis for bruiking of the saidis kirklands, teinds, kirks and uthers forsaidis, advocatioun, donatioun and richt of patronage of the samyne as if the samyne haill chartor wer at lenth speciallie and particularlie heirin sett downe; quhairanent, and with all uther defects and imperfectiones that may be proponit or alledgit againes the samyne or this present ratificatioun thairof, oure said soverane lord and estates of parliament hes dispensit and, be thir presents, dispenses for ever, and that the said ratificatioun be farder extendit in the best forme with all clauses necessar.

Oure soverane lord and thrie estates of parliament presently convenit, considering that the parochine of Aberdour lyand withine the diocie and shirefdome of Abirdeine is soe great and spatious that the haill parichioners thairof can not convenientlie resort to the paroche kirk of Aberdour to gett the confort of the word preatched and the sacraments ministred to thame thairat, and considering lykwayes that Alexander Forbes of Pitsligo, patroune of the said paroche kirk and parochine of Aberdour, out of the fervent zeale quhilk he hes to the glorie of God and for the mair ease to himselff and remanent parichioners of the said parochine quha duells besyde him at the eist end of the said parochine (in respect their duelling, residence and remaining is far distant fra the said kirk of Aberdour) hes not onlie upon his awine propper chairges and expenses buildit and biggit up ane new kirk upon his lands and baronie of Pitsligo, lyand withine the said parochine of Abirdour, bot also with consent of the Bischope of Abirdeine and of the present minister and persone of Aberdour, titular of the said benefice, and of the heretors withine the said parochine, hes devydit, at the least is to devyde, the samyne parochine in tua severall distinct parochines, and hes presentit ane qualifiet minister to the said new biggit kirk upon the saidis lands of Pitsligo. Thairfor, and for divers uthers good causes and considerationes moving his majestie, his hienes, with advyse and consent forsaid of the saidis thrie estates of parliament, hes ratifiet, approvine and confirmit and, be thir presents, ratifies, approves and confirmes all divisiones, ane or mae, maid, or to be maid, of the said parochine of Aberdour, betuix the said patroun, with consent of the remanent heretors withine the samyne parochine, and the minister and persoun present and to come serving the cure at the said kirk of Aberdour, in the haill heads, articles, clauses, conditiones, bounds, limeitts, meithes and merches thairof, and als all resignationes and modificationes of stipends that is alreadie, or sall happine to be, assignit and modifiet heirefter to the minister, present and to come, serving the cure at the said new biggit kirk, with all manses, gleibs, kirklands that is alreadie, or sall happine heireftir, to be designit thairto, admitting heirby the saidis divisiones, assignationes, modificationes and designationes to be als valeid and sufficient as if the samyne wer per expressum sett downe and ingrossit heirintill; quhairanent oure said soverane lord and estates forsaidis be thir presents, dispenses for ever. And farder oure said soverane lord and estates forsaidis hes creatt and erectit and, be thir presents, creatts and erects the said new biggit kirk upon the saidis lands of Pitsligo in ane severall paroche kirk per se, and als the haill lands divydit or to be divydit fra the said parochine of Aberdour in ane severall parochine per se to be callit in all tyme coming the paroche kirk and parochine of Pitsligo. And becaus the said Alexander Forbes of Pitsligo is wndoubted patrone of the said paroche kirk and parochine of Aberdour (quhairof the said new erected kirk of Pitsligo and parochine thairof is ane pairt), thairfor our said soverane lord and estates forsaidis, be thir presents, declairs that the said Alexander Forbes of Pitsligo, his airs male and successors in all tyme coming, sall remaine wndoubted patrones of the said paroche kirk and parochine of Pitsligo and sall have the onlie wndoubted richt of presentatione of the ministers present and to come serving the cure thairat in all tyme thaireftir, als frilie as if the samyne had not beine divydit and disjoynit fra the said kirk and parochine of Aberdour in maner forsaid, but prejudice alwayes of thair richt of patronage of the samyne paroche kirk and parochine of Aberdour, quhairanent thir presents sall nawayes be prejudiciall. And that this present ratificatioun, approbatioun and erectioun be extendit in the best forme with all clauses neidfull, and be insert and registrat in the buikes and registers of parliament, and thir presents to be ane sufficient warrant for that effect.

Lykas our said soverane lord and estates of parliament wills and grants and, for his majestie and successors, perpetuallie decernes and ordaines that this present ratificatioun of the saidis tua chartors, precepts and instruments of sasing following thairupon is and sall be of als great strenth, force and effect to the said Thomas Crombie and to his airs and assignais contenit in the said infeftment, and also to the said Margaret Ker, spous to the said Thomas, in lyfrent for hir pairt and portione for bruiking, joysing, assigning and disponing upon the saidis lands and baronie of Kemno, salmond fischings, cruiffes, ferie boitt, mylnes, multures and uthers specifiet in the saidis infeftments conforme and according to the conditiones and provisiones thairin mentionat, as if the saidis chartors, precepts and seasings wer all at lenth word be word heirin insert and ingrossit, and notwithstanding thairof and of quhatsumever objectioun, questioun, defect or imperfectione that may be alledgit or proponit in the contrair, quhairanent his majestie and estates of parliament hes and, be thir presents, dispenses for ever. And farder our said soverane lord, with consent forsaid, gives full power and libertie to the said Thomas Crombie and his forsaidis to intent, prosecute and persew all actiones and causes quhilks ar, or anywayes may be, competent to his majestie anent the saidis lands and baronie, salmond fischings, ferrieboitt, cruiffes, priveledges and commodities thairof and uthers abonewrittine contenit in the saidis tua infeftments, or ather of thame, be vertew of any richt quhilk his majestie hes or may pretend thairto againes quhatsumever persone or persones, and to prosecut and persew the saidis actiones to the finall end and decisione thairof, siclyk and als frilie as his majestie micht doe himselfs.

Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament ratifies, approves and perpetuallie confirmes ane chartor and infeftment wnder the great seale, daitit the second day of Februar, the yeir of God jM vjC and nynteine yeirs, grantit be our said soverane lords umquhile darrest father of eternall memorie, for himselff and as father and administrator for the tyme to his majestie that now is, his hienes darrest sone, to and in favour of Sir Patrick Makgie of Larg, knicht, and to the airs male lawfullie gottine or to be gottine of his bodie, quhilks failyeing to his neirest and lawfull eldest air female without divisione, of all and haill the lands and baronie of Larg, comprehendand the particular lands, mylnes, wodes, fischings, burgh of baronie of Monygoffe, fairs, mercatts, priveledges, liberties, immwnities and all uthers generallie and particularlie expressit and sett downe in the forsaid chartour and infeftment, togider with the instrument of sasing following thairupon, in all and sundrie heades, pointes, clauses and conditiones mentionat and expressit in the said chartor and infeftment, quhilks his majestie and estates forsaidis declairs to be haldine as for exprest and sett downe heirintill ad longum et de verbo in verbo. And farder, oure said soverane lord and estates forsaidis declairs and ordaines the forsaid chartor and infeftment to have beine and to be ane guid, valeid and perfyt richt and secuiritie to the said Sir Patrick Makgie, his airs and successors for thair heretable and perpetuall bruiking, joysing, using and possessing of the forsaidis lands, baronie, burgh of baronie, fairs, mercatts, priveledges, liberties and immwnities thairof and all uthers lands, heretage, mylnes, wodes, fischings and uthers generallie and particularlie contenit in the said chartor and infeftment efter the forme and tennor thairof in all pointes.
