Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament, having consideratioun of the trew and thankfull service done to his majestie be Sir James Lokhart of Castellhill, knicht, gentleman of his hienes privie chalmer, ordaines ane act to be maid ratifiand and approveand and, for his majestie and his hienes successors, perpetuallie confirmand that chartor and infeftment of the dait at Quhytehall, the fyfteine day of Marche lastbypast in this instant yeir of God, jM vjC threttie thrie yeirs, givin and grantit be our said soverane lord in favours of the said Sir James Lokhart, heretable proprietar of the lands wnderwrittine, and his airs male and assignais quhatsumever, heretablie and irredimablie, of all and sundrie the teindscheaves and personage teinds of all and haill the tuentie pund land of Lie and fiftie schilling land of Nemphlar, with pairts, pendicles and pertinents quhatsumever, lyand within the parochine of Lanerk, callit the out parochine thairof, and shirefdome of the samyn proceiding upon the resignatioun of Johne, earle of Marre, lord Erskeine, heretable proprietar and titular of the saidis teindscheaves of the said parochine of Lanerk, and James, earle of Buchane, his sone, and conteining thairintill ane new gift of the saidis personage teinds, with ane unioun and incorporatioun thairof to the stock furth quhairof the samyn is to be uplifted inseparablie, as in the said chartor and infeftment wnder the great seale at mair lenth is contenit, quhilk is heirby haldin as ingrost verbatim heirintill; with the not inserting quhairof oure said soverane lord, with advyse and consent forsaid, hes dispensit and dispenses for ever in all and sundrie heads, clauses, articles, obleifments, pointes, pases, circumstances, and conditiones of the samyn quhatsumever specifiet and contenit thairintill. Lykas our said soverane lord and estates forsaidis of this present parliament wills, grants, declairs, statuits and ordaines that the said Sir James Lokhart, his airs male and assignais forsaidis sall bruik, joyse and posses all and sundrie the forsaidis teindscheaves and personage teinds of all and haill the said tuentie pund land of Lie and fiftie schilling land of Nemphlar, with pairts, pendicles and pertinents quhatsumever inseparablie, with the stock perpetuallie in all tyme coming, as thair awin propper heretage at thair pleasure eftir the forme and tennor of his richts and infeftments thairof abonewrittine in all pointes, but any stope, trouble or impediment quhatsumever to be maid or moved in the contrair be any persone or persones quhatsumever, nothwithstanding of any defect or infirmitie if any be contenit in his saidis infeftments; quhairanent oure said soverane lord, for his hienes and his successors, with advyse and consent of the saidis estates of parliament, hes dispensit and dispenses, ordaining the forsaid act to be ane sufficient supplement of all faults and defects if any be contenit in the saidis infeftments, and againes all actiones and questiones quhatsumever that can be maid or moved in the contrair. And our said soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the saidis estates, decernes and ordaines this present act to be insert and registrat in the buikes of parliament and to have the strenth, force and effect of ane law and statuite of parliament with all executioun to follow thairupon in forme as effeirs.
