Act in favour of Williame Murray

Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament, wnderstanding that his majestie for the guid, trew, long and acceptable service done to his hienes be his weilbeloved servitor Williame Murray, groome of his hienes bedchamber, ever since his hienes infancie and tender yeirs, his majestie, be his hienes letters of gift wnder the privie seale of the dait the fyft day of May, the yeir of God jM vjC threttie ane yeirs, with advyse and consent of the lords of exchecker and commissionars within the kingdome of Scotland, gave and grantit to the said Williame Murray, his airs and assignais all and haill the soume of fourtie thousand marks usuall Scottes money, to be payit out of the first and reddiest of the thesaurarie, comptrollarie and casualities within the said kingdome of Scotland appointit to have beine payit at the feast and terme of Whitsunday in the said yeir of God jM vjC threttie ane yeirs; and in the meane tyme, quhill the fornamit soume be compleitlie payit, his majestie, with advyse of the saidis lords, disponit and assignit to the said Williame Murray and his forsaidis the yeirlie fewmaills, fewfermes and dewties of all and haill the lands and baronie of Bambreich particularlie specifiet in the infeftment maid and grantit to Mungo, now vicount of Stormonth, then stylit Sir Mungo Murray of Drumcarne, knicht, and Dame Agnis Murray, his spous, thairupon, and als the fewmaills, kaynes and dewties of the lands and baronie of Strabrawne mentionat in the chartor and infeftment grantit thairupon to Sir Williame Stewart of Grantullie, knicht, togither with the fewmaills of the townes and lands speciallie exprest in the said gift perteining heretablie to Johne Grahame of Balgowne, as the said letter of gift, conteining speciall reservatione of the fewmaills and dewties assignit to the said Mungo, vicount of Stormonth during his lyftyme for keiping of the hous of Huntingtour, at mair lenth proports. And oure soverane lord, wnderstanding that his majestie be his hienes chartor wnder the great seale of the dait the [...] day of [...], the yeir of God jM vjC threttie thrie yeirs instant, hes givin, grantit and disponit to the said Williame Murray, his airs and assignais quhatsumever heretablie, the heretable office of constabularie and keiping of the castell, tower and maner place of Huntingtour and of the forrestarie and keiping of the haill wodes, medowes, haynings, yeards, orcheards, parks, plantings and pertinents thairof, and heretable office of stewartrie and bailliarie of all and haill the lands and baronie of Bambreich, conteining the speciall townes, lands and uthers contenit in the chartor and infeftment maid and grantit to the said Mungo, vicount of Stormonth and Dame Agnis Murray, his spous, thairupon, togider with certane yeirlie fies and dewties for discharging of the saidis offices mentionat in the said chartor, as in the samyn at mair lenth is contenit. Thairfor our soverane lord and estates forsaidis and haill bodie of this present parliament hes ratifiet and approvin and, be thir presents, ratifies and approves the forsaid letter of gift and chartor in all and sundrie heades, articles, clauses, provisiones, conditiones and circumstances thairof eftir the forme and tennor of the samyn in all pointes; and his majestie and estates forsaidis decernes, wills and declairs that this present ratificatioun is, and sall be, als guid, valeid, effectuall and sufficient in all respects to the said Williame Murray, his airs and assignais as if the forsaid letter of gift and chartor wer heirin at lenth word be word insert and expreslie ratifiet be vertew of this present act; and dissolves and separates frome the crowne and patrimonie thairof the forsaidis dewties ay and quhill the said soume be compleitlie satisfiet and payit, dispensand, lykas be thir presents his hienes and estates forsaidis dispenses, with all and quhatsumever actes of annexatioun, acts of parliament in anno jM vC fourscoir sevinteine yeirs maid anent dispositiones and alienationes of his hienes annexit propertie, and generallie with all and quhatsumever uther actes of parliament, generall laws or practick of this realme prejudiciall to the forsaid gift and chartor; and declairs the samyn to be ane valeid and sufficient richt quhairby the said Williame and his forsaidis may bruik, joyse, posses and intromett with the forsaid dewties and uthers contenit in the said gift and bruik and joyse the offices abonewrittine, intromett with and uptak the fies and dewties quhatsumever givin and disponit for using and excercing the saidis offices, and to use and dispone thairupon at thair pleasur in all tyme coming without any questioun or actioun to be movit againes the samyn, ay and quhill the forsaid soume be compleitlie satisfiet and payit; and, if neid beis, ordaines ane letter to be maid heirupon wnder the great seale in dew forme, and that thir presents sall be ane sufficient warrand to the said great seale and writtars thairof but any farder passing thairof throw the register, signet or privie seale, and to the clerk of register for inserting and acting of the samyn in the buikes of parliament to have the strenth of ane act of parliament.
