Oure soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the thrie estates of this present parliament, ratifies and approves the chartor maid and grantit be his majestie wnder the great seale, of the dait at Quhythall, the first day of December, the yeir of God jM vjC threttie tua yeirs, in favours of his majesties trustie servitor Patrick Maull of Panmure, ane of his majesties bedchamber, his airs and assignais thairin specifiet of the baronie of Panmure thairin mentionat, the lands and baronie of Downie thairin contenit, the lands of Eister Innerpeffer and teindscheaves of the samyne, as also of the teind scheaves of the kirklands of the Lady Chappell of Carmyllie and of the lands of Both and Cairnecorthie, mylne and mylnelands thairof and pertinents of the samyne and uthers thairin mentionat, all thairby unit in ane frie baronie callit the baronie of Panmure, to be haldin of his majestie and his successors in maner thairin specifiet, togider with the precept of sasing following thairupon and instrument of sasing following upon the samyn, in all and sundrie pointes, articles and clauses thairin contenit eftir the formes and tennors thairof. Oure soverane lord and thrie estates of this present parliament, considering that the place of situatione and name of the paroche kirk of Gulane ar baith chaingit and that the kirk thairof is now situat besyde the towne of Dirletoun and callit the kirk of Dirletoun, and that the ministers manse of the said kirk of Gulane is rwinous and decayit, and the gleib thairof overblawin with sand, and that his majesties trustie servitor James Maxwell of Innerweik, ane of his majesties bedchamber, is heretor of the haill teinds of the said parochine of Gulane and kirklands within the same, and that albeit the minister at the said kirk and his successors can not be law obteine ane uther mans and gleib to be designit to thame (thair decayed mans and overblowen gleib being designit to thame be the ministers and presbetrie); nevertheles and notwithstanding thairof, the said James Maxwell, of his awin frie guid will and for the zeale he hes to Gods glorie, is content to provyde ane uther mans and gleib to the minister at the said kirk and his successours.
