Anent the propositioun made to the estaits be commissioners of the shyres (and whilk wes assisted be his majesteis advocat) what course sall be takin with these who hes not subscryved the generall submissiouns made to his majestie, seing his majestie, by his proclamatiouns, hes declared his intentioun that everie heretour sall have the right of his awin teind, the estats having heard the propositioun and being advised thairwith, they remitt the same propositioun and the course and order to be takin thereanent to his majesteis royall judgement and consideratioun.

Anent the frequent repair to court

Anent the greevance givin in be the commissioners of the shyres tuicheing the frequent repaire of the subjects to court, to the undoing of the kingdome, and who by sinistrous informatiouns to his majestie desyres the course of justice to be inverted in the ordinarie courts and judicatoreis of the kingdome, the estaits having heard and considderit the greevance, they agree that his majestie sall be petitiouned to remitt all suche parteis who sall importune his majestie in this kynde to thair ordinarie judges at home to the intent justice may be indifferentlie ministrat to both parteis, whairin if anie partie sall have just cause to compleane of delay or want of justice that than his majestie may take suche course thairanent as in his excellent judgement he sall find fitting.

The estaits nominats and appoints and thairwithall gives commissioun and warrand to the Erles of Rothes, Wintoun, Kingorne and Carrick, the Vicount of Dumlanrig, the Lords Rosse, Lowdoun, Burlie and Wemes, Sir Robert Gordoun, knight barounet, the Lairds of Din, Aldbar, Lee, younger, Richartoun, Reresse, Thorneton, Westnisbit and Johne Areskine of Balgownie, togidder with suche of the burrowes as sall be directed to that effect, to conveene and meit the morne at sevin of the clocke in the morning and to confer and reasoun upon the patent grantit to the Erle of Linlithgow for making of powder and to consider of the best and most effectuall meanes how the said patent may receave executioun.
