[Oaths taken; articles and acts relating to union read and laid open; continuation]

Prayers said.

Rolls called.

Minutes of the last sederunt read.

[Patrick Oliphant], lord Oliphant swore the oath of allegiance, subscribed the same with the assurance and took the oath of parliament.

Moved that the articles of union agreed on by the commissioners nominated by the kingdoms of Scotland and England be again read, and also moved that the minutes of proceedings of the said commissioners be likewise read. And, after some reasoning, it was agreed that the said articles of union should be read, and ordered that all records relating to former treaties between the two kingdoms be laid on the table, and in the intervals of parliament they are to be seen in the lower parliament house, where some of my lord register's servants are to attend.

And the articles of union being accordingly again read, it was agreed that the parliament should proceed to the consideration of the said articles of union the next sederunt.

Then the lord chancellor, by order of her majesty's high commissioner, adjourned the parliament until Tuesday next at 10 o'clock.
