The Lord Oliphant swore the oath of allegiance, subscribed the same with the assurance and took the oath of parliament.

Procedure: articles of union read again and all former treaties made available for members

Moved that the articles of union agreed on by the commissioners nominated on the kingdoms of Scotland and England be again read, and also moved that the minutes of proceedings of the said commissioners to be likewise read and, after some reasoning, it was agreed that the said articles of union should be read, and ordered that all records relating to former treaties between the two kingdoms be laid on the table and, in the intervals of parliament, they are to be seen in the lower parliament house where some of my lord register's servants are to attend.

And the articles of union being accordingly again read, it was agreed that the parliament should proceed to the consideration of the said articles of union the next sederunt.

Then the lord chancellor, by order of her majesty's high commissioner, adjourned the parliament until Tuesday next at 10 o'clock.
