Our sovereign lady, with the advice and consent of the estates of parliament, rescinds and annuls the 19th act of the fifth session of King William's parliament imposing a duty on Scots muslin, cambric and linen, and statutes and declares that, in all time coming, all muslin, plain or striped cambric, and all sorts of linen, under whatsoever name or designation, and all woollen manufacture of any kind or wherein there is any wool or flax, manufactured within this kingdom shall be free of all manner of duty or custom at exportation, discharging hereby all collectors or others concerned in the customs to exact any duty therefore after the date hereof, under the pain of 500 merks on each occasion. And the estates of parliament declare that whatever loss her majesty's customs shall sustain by the discharge of the foresaid duty they will make up the same in the next session of parliament. Also her majesty, with advice and consent foresaid, rescinds and annuls all other laws and acts of parliament in so far as they are inconsistent with this act.
