Overture of ane act concerning chirurgeons and apothecarys in Edinburgh

Our sovereign lady, with advyce and consent of the estates of parliament, ratifyes and confirms the rights and priviledges of the chirurgeons and apothecarys in Edinburgh. As also statutes and declares that hereafter there shall be no restraint upon the leidges of being served by them in medicines without calling physicians when the imployers refuse to call any, prohibiting and discharging any prosecution of the saids chyrurgeons and apothecaries on the forsaid account, without prejudice to their being lyable for unskillfull practice therein as accords.
