The minuts of the last sederunt read.

The act for security proceeded in and a clause offered declaring that the estates should not nominat the successor in the event contained in the act dureing some dayes after their first meeting, which being considered the question was first stated, if the number of these dayes should be twenty or thirty, and thereafter, it being moved that the question might rather be stated, if the dayes should be thirty or sixty, the vote was asked whither the first state or the second should be put to the vote and carried that the first state should be put to the vote. Then the vote being asked whither twenty or thirty dayes, carried twenty. After which it was acquiesced to without a vote that these twenty dayes being elapsed the estates shall proceed to make the said nomination with all convenient diligence.

The lord chancellor, by order of her majesties' high commissioner, adjourned the parliament till Friday next at ten a clock.
