Act in favours of Anna Sinclair

Our soverane lord and estates of parliament, conveened by his majesties' spetiall warrand, haveing heard and considered a supplication given in to them be Anna Sinclair, daughter lawfull to the deceast George Sinclair, sumtyme chirurgian to the Lord Ramesays regiment of horses, shewing that the supplicant, being past the age of tutorie, necessar it is upon emergent and extraordinary occasions that lawfull curators be given to her by whose advice and consent her necessary affaires and concernments might be the better manadged, and seing that the comissariot of St Andrews, befor which the said processe of curatorie should be led, is not now patent and that the nature of the supplicant's affairs and concernments could not, without prejudice, admit of delay; thairfor, craveing that the saids estates of parliament would nominat and appoint the present baillies of Edinburgh, conjunctly and severally, empowering and authorizeing them to decerne and give to the supplicant such persons nearest of kin on the fatherside and motherside as shall be choisen curators to the supplicant tam ad lites quam ad negotia and emit edicts and precepts theranent, and to administer oathes and receave caution and all other things to doe theranent that is requisite in such caces, admittand the said processe and decreit to follow therupon to be als effectuall and sufficient as if the same had been led and deduced befor the compitent judicatorie in the ordinar and compitent forme, and that the saids estates of parliament would dispence theranent as the said supplication at more lenth beares. [This] with ane reporte made and given be the lords and others commissioners for bills and tradeing, to whom the said mater wes referred, shewing that they, upon consideration of the said supplication, conceaved that the desire therof should be granted and they therwith, being well and ryply advised, his majestie, with advice and consent of the saids estates of parliament, hes approven and approves the said report and grants dispensation to the supplicant to choise her curators befor the magistrats of Edinburgh, and heirby authorizes them to proceid therintill conforme to the desire of the said supplication; wheranent his majestie and estates of parliament have dispenced and dispences for ever.
