Item the haill prelatis, lordis and baronys' of the realme has ordanyt and devysit a parliament to be haldyn at Edinburghe and to begyn the xxviij day of the moneth of Merche nixt to cum with continuatioun of dais. Tharfor we charge straitly and commandis in or soverane lordis name all prelatis, baronys and frehaldaris and all uthiris within burghe and outwith that aw apperance thar to compeir the said day and place to common, treit and conclud apon sik thingis as is profitable and spedfull for the realme.

Item it is statuyt and ordanyt be or soverane lorde the king and be awyse of the lordis now beande present with him that all maner of corne that wnthreschyne within the realme sal be haillely thresching owt befor the last day of May nixt to cum wndir the payne of eschet of the corne to the king that happynnis than to be wnthresching, alse weill within barnys as without. And at furthwith in all gudly haist oure soverane lordis lettres pass to all sherefis of the realme with chargis for keping of the saide ordinance, ande at the saide sherefis see that the said statute be execut. And quhat sherefis that failyeis tharin, that they be dischargyt fra the executione of his office in tym cummyng enduring the kingis will and uthiris to be deput tharto.

5Item it is ordanyt that na manir of wittaill be haldin in generall6 nor uthir wayis be ony persone forther than is neidfull for his awin sustentatioun and famyll7 on to the tyme of Michaelmss nixt to cum, bot at thai be present to the mercat wndir the payne of eschet, etc, etc.

Item here eftir it is statuyt and ordanyt that nane by wittail to halde it to a derthe9 nor that nane halde wittall mayr than will serf him self and his famyle for a quartir of a yer. And at thai present all that thai haif mair to the mercat within ix dais eftir that thai get it to be saulde, wndir the payne of eschet tharof. For the serching of the quhilk thing thar is depute ser[c]haris in Edinburghe and Leithe.10
